Journal/Scrapbook Page - DB (DT)

this week is JOURNAL OR SCRAPBOOK PAGE
The Dilly Bean Challenges now require that you use a Dilly Bean Image on your submission.

I used Dilly Bean Stamps #569 Milla Framed and #365 Artist Quotes for this journal/scrapbook page. I altered a page from an art instruction book with acrylics, watercolor crayons and spritzes. I colored the image with pencils and blended with mineral spirits. I scanned the design into PSE, tweaked it and then printed it out for my page. Once the page was layered up and embellished with washi tape and a pearl I colored blue, I scanned it into the computer again.

I  hope you have been inspired to join the fun at Dilly Beans this week. Please check the site for rules and prizes. Also, take a look at the wonderful creations posted by my fellow DT members. They are a very talented group!

Smudgefest Day Five - Flowing Friday

Today's Smudgefest Challenge was a messy one. To create my background, I took a piece of water color paper and scribbled on it with watercolor crayons. I then took it outside and spritzed it with water, tipping the paper from side to side to get some runs and smearing going on. Once it was dry, I cut it into a bookmark shape and rubber stamped on it. I used rubber stamps from the Smeared Ink Quoth the Raven set. Once the ink was dry I watered down some red acrylic paint and dripped and dribbled it onto my piece. The raven is cut with my Cricut. The cut file is free from SVG Cuts. I distressed the bookmark with ink around the edges and the Tim Holtz distress tool. The bookmark is embellished with a brad, scrap of fabric (tulle), a key sticker and yarn.

I am entering this bookmark in the following challenges:
