Steampunk Octopus Jar

I used a rubber stamp from Inkadinkado to create this altered glass jar. I stamped the design onto a page torn from a damaged book that I had painted with gesso and yellow acrylic paint first. I used mod podge to attach the paper punched circle to the jar. Steampunk gears and cogs were added as embellishments.

Fairy Queen Pendant

Celebrate Bottle Tag - Gecko Galz (DT)

Rubber Stamps - frame (Creative Ink), sentiment (The Paper Company)

Directions:

Cut a strip of paper 7x3 inches. Fold down the top 2 inches. Use paper punch to place a hole in the center of the top of the tag. Arrange your paper elements in a pleasing manner and attach to the tag. The star is paper punched. The tag is embellished with two star buttons that I covered with glitter. I also added glitter to the stars in the design.

A Gift For Dad!

This is an altered 4x4 bisque tile. The background paper was embossed with a steampunk folder from Darice. It was attached to the tile and painted black and then sponged with silver metallic paint to highlight the embossing. This month Gecko Galz teamed up with Optic Illusions. This is my cross promotional piece.

Directions:

This altered notebook is 5x7. I created the collage in PSE, sized it and printed it out. If you do not do digital work, you could cut a piece of paper the size of your notebook and then add images to create a pleasing design. The sentiment is a rubber stamp from Hero Arts. I didn't want to make the cover lumpy so I added some embellishments to a ribbon book mark. They include a watch face, a watch charm and a green bead.

How does your Garden Grow?

I used a digital stamp from The East Wind called Unky's Garden for this card. If you sign up for the newsletter you get a free image every month. Also check out the wonderful selection of stamps at the Etsy Shop. The card is embellished with an embossed die cut circle, ink and mini blue gems.

Happy Father's Day - Dilly Bean (DT)

The DILLY BEAN FRIDAY CHALLENGE 

 this week is MASCULINE/FOR DAD!

The Dilly Bean Challenges now run for two weeks and

 require that you use a Dilly Bean Image on your submission.

I used Dilly Bean Stamp #499 Noah for this Father's Day Card. The sentiment is from a rubber stamp set made by The Lawn Fawn. The words are from the "Happy Everything" word collection. It is a nice set to own. You can make your own phrases. The image was colored with pencils and blended. The card is embellished with three buttons, a ribbon, a diecut tag and it's hard to see but there is a band of glitter on the white stripe of Noah's shirt.

Rose Water Label - Gecko Galz (DT)

Products Used:

Gecko Galz - woman "Her Beautiful Colors", rose tag "April Sheet"

Optic Illusions - background paper

Directions:

The base of the label was made in PSE. The rose tag was merged with the green clock face paper from Optic Illusions. Once that was resized and cut out, the beautiful woman and the "rose water" label were added. The label is embellished with a paper rose, two pink pearls and bit of lace. This concept could be used for empty jars and bottles.
