Domino Art Doll

 


I created the body for this domino art doll with the following materials: two wooden spools, a wooden clothespin, one poker chip and one full size domino. The face and wings are collage designs from Paper Imagery Designs. The paper hat is designer paper that I distressed with oil pastels. The face and wings have been laminated for durability. I colored the domino with alcohol inks and then stamped on the diamond pattern (Tim Holtz) with permanent ink. The doll is embellished with tulle trim, alphabet letters, black half pearls, eyelash yarn and a sequin sewn on with a seed bead. 

If you have noticed that my photos have changed, here is an explanation. After my first posting, my cat playfully gave the Art doll a swat. I had to repair damage to her wonderful party hat and retake photos.
