This altered poker chip brooch was made from a poker chip I picked up at the thrift store. I used mod podge to attach a paper punched circle from a damaged book into the inverted center of the chip. I then sponged on two coats of gesso to prepare a base. I further altered the color with acrylic paint and oil pastels. The decorative woman is from the Parisian Jewels Gecko Galz collage sheet. Varnish was applied as a sealant. The word "bling" and a metal stud were added to the design. A 1" pin back was attached with glossy accents.
I would like to enter this brooch in the following challenges:
Pink Gem - fav. color combo (purple+blue)
The Craftroom - recycle

Paper Pretties - #310 embellish it
