Fairy Card

I used collage designs from Lunagirl Moonbeams for this card. The flower garland and fairy are from the Shabby Violet Sheet. The card background was created at a stamp show that I attended. The brown piece of cardstock was embossed and distressed with a sander and little holes were poked in with a tool. The daisy is a rubber stamp from Stampin Up. The card is embellished with two ribbons, glitter and pearls.

Pretty in Pink Steampunk Pendant

This pendant was made from a bisque ceramic heart. The heart was painted pink and then colored on with watercolor crayons and oil pastels. The lovely lady with her flower hat image is from Artchix Studio. Altering bisque ceramics is a new experience for me. The Artchix ephemera is old. The pendant is embellished with two metal steampunk gears.

Altered Bottle - Steampunk Owl

I altered an antique bottle for this project. The owl is a rubber stamp from Tim Holtz. The eyes and beak were colored with markers. I added some yellow paint directly to the bottle and then colored over it with oil pastels when the paint was dry. I added varnish to set all the colors. The bottle is embellished with rusty bits from the garage, spikes and a steampunk gear. The neck of the bottle was wrapped with twine.

Frankenstein Day Bookmark

August 30th is Frankenstein Day!  

Frankenstein Day is on August 30. This day is in honor of author Mary Wollenstone Shelley who was born on August 30,1797. She wrote the book "Frankenstein "in 1818. This day in in honor of her birth.

Altered Steampunk Bottle

I altered an old bottle for this steampunk piece. I poured thinned white paint inside the bottle to cover up the rust and stains that would not wash out. The bottle is embellished with a watch face, a metal filagree flower emblem, gears and rawhide. The "194" is paper punched from the Tumblefish Studio inchies sheet found at Deviant Scraps.

Up in the Air Ceramic Tile

I used a digital download from Lunagirl Moonbeams for this altered bisque tile. The tile was layered with torn pages from a damaged book and painted black. Halloween Tag

I used a digital stamp from Limited Runs called "Halloween Cupcake" for this tag. The tag and sentiment are from Pixel Scrapper. The black cat on the tombstone is a digital stamp from Create with TLC. The tag is embellished with ribbon and glitter.

TOP TIP: Pixel Scrapper is a free online scrapbook site. You can use their images digitally or print them out and use them traditionally.

Sweet Wishes ATC - Wicked Wednesday (DT)

The Wicked Wednesday ATC Challenge 

this week is SOMETHING SWEET!

I used a digital stamp from Sami Stamps called "cherry toes" for this ATC. The image was colored with pencils and markers. The edges were inked with yellow. The ATC is embellished with glitter and rickrack.

TOP TIP: Make use of sewing supplies when embellishing. Rickrack adds some color, texture and dimension to paper projects.
