Life & Death Fat Page

I created this fat page (5x5) with newspaper and paint. I stenciled the background with paints and then added a rubber stamped image of Edgar with a stamp from Smeared Ink. I used three stencils to add the square, circle and dots. I masked Edgar and spritzed with copper glimmer mist. Many of Edgar's writings were inspired by Dante's Circle of Hell. The card is embellished with a steampunk cog and a black brad.

I am entering this fat page in the following challenges:

Stampotique - #93 stencils
Smudgy Antics - no markers or pencils
Smeared & Smudged Junk Funk - use newspaper
Haunted Design House - Dante inspired
Simon Says Stamp & Show - quotes
Simon Says Challenge - anything goes
Divas by Design - add metal
Left of Center - alternative art
Cute Card Thursday - #262 brass in pocket
Spooky & Scary - Poe

Your card is awesome! There is so much truth to that sentiment, isn't there? The black and white is very striking and I especially like the red circle that you have masked behind Edgar Allen Poe. I also like the combination of the book text and the polka dots. Thanks so much for joining us at Simon Says Stamp and Show. <3 Candy
