This mixed media art started on a large index card. The background is made with layers of paper scraps. When my background gets too distracting, I spread on white gesso and let it dry. I then add acrylics or water color paints to make a more blended bhackground. The edges are inked with Tim Holtz distress ink. The lovely nouveau woman is from Etsy.
