I used a digital stamp from The Octopode Factory called Tinkerbell to create this card. I colored the image in PSE. The sentiment is a rubber stamp from Tim Holtz. The card has distressed edges and is embellished with netting, a mod melt bee and lots of glitter.

Owl at Night ATC

Fall Squirrel ATC

I used a digital stamp called Fall Floral from A Day for Daisies for this ATC. It is a freebie on the site this week. You can get it here. I colored the stamp with colored pencils and blended with mineral spirits. The ATC is embellished with a handmade flower (pom pom center), a scrap of ribbon and a feather.

Glass Tile Pendants - Funky Ferns

These funky fern pendants are made from altered glass tiles from the home improvement store. The tiles are embellished with a raised foliage pattern. The ferns are made from foam that was cut with the die cut machine. The tile measures 1 7/8 x 1/2 inches. A recycled silver colored metal nut is attached as a bail.  I used glossy accents as my glue. First attaching the nut and letting the glue dry overnight. The next day I added more glossy accents around the base of the nut to reinforce the hold.

There are so many ways you could alter one of these tiles. Let your imagination fly free with this project!

Glass Tile Pendant (Alterered Art) - Brown with Pink Heart

This brown tile with a pink heart pendant is made from an altered glass tile from the home improvement store. The tile is painted brown and embellished with a raised pink and orange heart. The heart is foam that was cut with a diecut machine. The heart is painted with pink and red paint and attached to the tile with glossy accents.

The tile measures 1 7/8 x 1/2 inches. A recycled silver colored metal nut is attached as a bail.  I used glossy accents as my glue. First attaching the nut and letting the glue dry overnight. The next day I added more glossy accents around the base of the nut to reinforce the hold. The pendant is strung on 18 inches of dark copper chain with a spring ring closure.

These pendants are so much fun to make. There are so many possible ways to alter the glass tiles and make them into wearable art.

Day 31 - Smeared & Smudged 31 Days of Halloween - The Happy Couple

Day 31 of Smeared & Smudged 31 Days of Halloween!

This is the last day of the Hop! What a great experience it has been. Thank you to Tori and Terra at Smeared & Smudged for organizing this great event. I used Haunted Mansion 2013 by Rick St. Dennis for the background of this piece. It was printed on designed Kraft paper and lightly colored with markers. It looks like Mr and Miss Skellie met and now their hearts beat for each other. And, just like in the movies, this scary tale has a happy ending.

Skulls were made from clay using a Studio G clear stamp. Bodies were made from clay using a candy mold.

Day 30 of Smeared & Smudged of 31 Days of Halloween!

I used a clear stamp from Studio G to create this skellie's clay face. Her corset is made from clay also. The body came in a package of six posterboard die cuts from Michael's. I used alcohol inks to color her body. The card is embellished with chandelier designed kraft paper and ribbon.

Only two days left of the hop! I made some projects just in case and here is one of them. I used a clear stamp from Studio G to create this skellie's clay face. His ribs are from a candy mold. The body came in a package of six posterboard die cuts from Michael's. I used alcohol inks to color his body. The card is also embellished with ribbon.

The ghosts, bat and "boo" on this card are rubber stamps from a Recollections set. The ghosts are paper pieced. Green ghosts just didn't look right, lol! The vintage pumpkins are from last year's free Retro Cafe Art Halloween sheet. The large bat is cut from felt using a Tim Holtz die cut.

I created this Edgar Allan Poe bookmark/plant stick from an altered domino and craft stick. I colored the domino with the alcohol ink and then used permanent black ink to stamp on Edgar's face. The crown and wings were stamped on to design paper. They were laminated to add stability. The piece is embellished with three golden rhinestones and a scrap of eyelash trim.

Today is a Smeared Ink Day on the Halloween Hop. I used the freebie that is offered on the forum site to create this fun card. Ghoulish Halloween - DB (DT)

The DILLY BEAN FRIDAY CHALLENGE 

 this week is HALLOWEEN! 

The Dilly Bean Challenges now require that you use a Dilly Bean Image on your submission.

I used Dilly Bean stamp #271 ghoul to create this little assemblage piece. I used chalks to color the stamp and added some glitter to his toothy grin. I wrapped black and white baker's twine around a wooden spoon to create the ghoul's body. The body is attached to a paper mache coffin that I painted black. The tag is a rubber stamp from Craftsmart (Michael's). The bats stamped on the moon are from Inkadinkado. The piece also has buttons, seed beads, wire and ribbon.

Day 24 of Smeared & Smudged 31 Days of Halloween!

 

I used all Gecko Galz products on this ATC. The background paper is candy corn from the Hocus Pocus collection. The digital stamp is the freebie for the month of October. Here is the link to grab yours. The frightened little boy is from the Bump in the Night Collection. I fussy cut around him and propped him on foam dots. The candle was part of the picture but I placed it in his hands on a foam dot also. There are wisps of spider web behind the image and around the book. I just love this big glittery orange spider so he is dangling from the web.
