Smeared & Smudged April Blog Hop

Yay, it's time for another Smeared & Smudged Blog Hop. The April theme is DIRTY VINTAGE!

I used a digital stamp from Simply Betty called "The Oval Portrait" for my "dirty vintage" tag. I hope you like it!

I

I printed the stamp out on lined design paper and colored the image with colored pencils and blended with mineral spirits. I then did some masking. I muddied up the image with brown shoe polish (using the provided sponge applicator) and splattered with black paint. I also gave it a little sparkle with copper glimmer mist. The tag is embellished with a skeleton key, a scrap of ruffle yarn, ribbon and twine.

Thanks for looking. Now it is time to slip over to Anna's to see how she interpreted the "dirty" vintage theme!

Because I am challenge obsessed, I am entering this tag in the following challenges:

Left of Center - ribbon/twine
613 Avenue Create - #15 anything goes
Haunted Design House - #165 skeletons
Desert Island Crafters - black, red, no markers, glitter
Addicted to Stamps (10) - #41 anything goes
