My First Scrapling

This is the first time I have made a scrapling. What a lot of fun! It is a challenge to use such a small pallet but well worth the effort. This scrapling is 4 x 1.5 in size (folded). I used some circus stamps that I just bought at Michael's. They were not labeled with a company name so I don't know who gets credit for these wonderful images. The scrapling is inked, colored with pencils, glittered up and a pompom and piece of lace have been added.

Symbols of Peace ATC

I used stamps from an Inkadinkado Clear Stamp set to create this ATC. The ATC is embellished with a little plastic owl and blue eyelash yarn.

Garden Fairy

For this digital creation, I used a Camellia image from Graphics Fairy for my background. The fairy was composed in PS. The beautiful woman is from the Beauty Unadorned Lunagirl Moonbeam collage sheet. I added her wings. The steampunk gears are from HG Designs. Once my piece was assembled in PS, I ran it through beFunky photo editing for the special effects.

My daughter Courtney Lynn married her Prince Charming on Friday night (June 21, 2013 at 6 PM). The ceremony and reception took place at the Pearl Street Grill & Brewery on Pearl Street in Buffalo. We enjoyed the banquet room and balcony on the fourth floor. The room was set up in shabby chic/vintage style. Burlap and white milk glass dominated. The flowers were white, purple/blue and green hydrangea. They were placed in tall two quart mason jars and milk glass vases. The room looked like something out of a fairy tale and Courtney was the princess! We are so happy for Courtney and Sean and wish them many years of love and happiness!

I used picMonkey to create the graphics for the candy bar and Letter K signs. I also used it to create the graphic for the treat bags. The scrolly parts are from Graphics Fairy. To print the bags, use painter's blue tape to tape down the bottom and top of the bag. I jammed the printer a few times before I figured that out. For something unique, we used metal number tags from the hardware store (Lowe's) to mark the table numbers. The letter "K" was from Hobby Lobby. I painted it with acrylics and guests used sharpie ultra fine pens to sign it.

Personal touches make a wedding and reception unique. I'm so happy that my daughter invited me to share in the preparations for her special day. Kudos to Pinterest for lots of ideas and inspirations!

Many thanks to the people who took photos and shared them with us (Chelsea, Samantha & Danny)...I will post more once we get them from the photographer!

I created this card with Dilly Bean image #422 - heart monster. I colored the image with colored pencils and chalk. I did not blend with mineral spirits but going over the colored areas with chalk seemed to blend out the pencil marks. I like how it turned out. Underwater Zombie's - well why not, lol!

The card is embellished with underwater stickers, two fish buttons, and glitter.

Beach Babe Fat Page

I used an image from Digital Collage Sheets to create this fat page (4x4). It is from a free sheet offered on my Flickr Group - Absolutely Free Collage Sheets. Here is the link. My background papers are torn from a magazine. This fat page is heavily embellished. There is a piece of silver punchinello (faux metal) in the background, two metal starfish buttons that I cut the shanks off, a metal tag that says (beach babe), a fish sticker, a glass star, real sand, shells and glitter.

Recycled Envelope Bookmark

I cut a heart shape from the corner of a used envelope to create this bookmark. I love to recycle and re-purpose items around the house when I can. The little elf on this bookmark is a rubber stamp called Gobby Lin from Stampotique. Isn't he devilishly cute? I used inks and splatters to add color to the plain white envelope. The stars are paper punched from design paper.
