Give Thanks Fat Page

I used two rubber stamps from Stampotique to create this Fat Page (4x4). I stamped the mushrooms, masked, and then splattered with brown paint. The little angel is stamped and cut from cardstock and attached to the page with a foam dot. Coloring was done with pencils. The page is embellished with a wood and plastic mushroom and lots of glitter.

Punk Girl ATC - Dilly Bean (DT)

I used Dilly Bean stamp #263 Zombie with Bow for this ATC. I colored the image with colored pencils and blended with mineral spirits. I also used some chalk to grunge it up a bit. The ATC is  embellished with glitter, ribbon and a pink brad.

I used the free image offered on the Smeared & Smudged site for this card. Grab yours and create something with it before the end of November. I colored the image with colored pencils and then scanned the design into PSE. I placed it on a grunge background from Dezinaworld. The card is embellished with creepy elements and lots of glitter.

Spoiled Girl ATC

I used a rubber stamp from Stampotique called Clover for this ATC. I stamped her on design paper and then used a tag shaped paper punch to cut her out. The sunglasses are a rubber stamp from Studio G. The bottle behind her is a Tim Holtz die cut. The ATC is embellished with layers, ribbon, glitter and a metal charm.

Smile ATC

I used a rubber stamp from Stampotique called Smile for this ATC. I used gesso and a stencil to create a spot for Smile's face. I then drew a circle with water color crayons and blended a shadow around the outside of the circle. It created almost a frame.  I distressed the edges of the ATC with sand paper and ink.

Wine Bottle Gift Tag - Dilly Bean (DT)

Winter Fun Chenille Stem Ornaments

I used two images from Gecko Galz to create these vintage chenille ornaments. Gecko Galz sell digital collage sheets, digital stamps and papers. They are very generous with their free images. Go to the site and grab the free images for the month of November. They also share images on their Fripperies & Butterflies site. There are some really cute winter inspired images up for grabs right now (click on link).

I resized the photos until the heads were the size needed and then I printed them out. I glued the heads onto cardstock and fussy cut them out. There are many tutorials on how to create a chenille stem doll. I just messed around and made mine and then looked up directions to make sure they looked right. Yes, that's how I roll. I used buttons to further reinforce the structure. Along with the buttons, the ornaments are embellished with glitter, pompoms and vintage looking trees.

Girls Wanna Have Fun Bookmark

I used Freya from The Octopode Factory for this bookmark. I colored her in PSE and highlighted areas with chalk and markers. The bookmark is embellished with die cut dots, fun fiber (scarf), an Artchix image and lots of glitter.

Winter Wishes Card

I used a snowman stamp from Tiddly Inks for this card. I followed a sketch on Digitally Sweet. The card was colored and arranged in PSE and edited in Pixlr.

Glass Tile Pendant Necklace - Gray Flowers on Emerald Green

This flowered pendant is made from an altered glass tile from the home improvement store. The tile is embellished with a scrap of lace flowers that I have been painted dark gray. The lace gives the pendant a raised texture. The tile measures 1 7/8 x 1/2 inches. A shiny silver colored metal nut is attached as a bail. I used glossy accents as my glue. First attaching the nut and letting the glue dry overnight. The next day I added more glossy accents around the base of the nut to reinforce the hold.

You could use this technique for any little bits of lace or embroidery that you have. Imagine the possibilities!

Glass Tile Pendants - Altered Glass Tiles from Home Improvement Store

Textured Glass Tile Pendants!

These colorful and unique pendants were made from altered glass tiles from the home improvement store. The tiles are embellished with a raised and textured grid pattern. The tiles have been painted with acrylic paints. The tile measures 1 7/8 x 1/2 inches. A recycled silver colored metal nut is attached as a bail. I used glossy accents as my glue. First attaching the nut and letting the glue dry overnight. The next day I added more glossy accents around the base of the nut to reinforce the hold.

There are so many ways you could alter one of these tiles. Let your imagination fly free with this project!

Glass Tile Pendant (Alterered Art) - Brown with Pink Heart

This brown tile with a pink heart pendant is made from an altered glass tile from the home improvement store. The tile is painted brown and embellished with a raised pink and orange heart. The heart is foam that was cut with a diecut machine. The heart is painted with pink and red paint and attached to the tile with glossy accents.

The tile measures 1 7/8 x 1/2 inches. A recycled silver colored metal nut is attached as a bail.  I used glossy accents as my glue. First attaching the nut and letting the glue dry overnight. The next day I added more glossy accents around the base of the nut to reinforce the hold. The pendant is strung on 18 inches of dark copper chain with a spring ring closure.

These pendants are so much fun to make. There are so many possible ways to alter the glass tiles and make them into wearable art.
