Heartfelt Tag

I used a rubber stamp from Stampotique called Gobby Lin for this tag. I colored the elf with colored pencils and blended with mineral spirits. I distressed the edges of my text layer with watercolor crayons and chalk. The tag is embellished with black pompoms, three red gems, glitter, a metal washer and ribbon.

Bring on Spring Card

My Heart Bleeds for You Tag

I created this design in Photoshop Elements. I'm still learning how to use the program so please don't judge me too harshly, lol! I combined a digital stamp and digital paper from Gecko Galz for the background. The heart with the skull is a digital stamp from Smudgetastic. The raven is from Smeared Ink. The tag is embellished with a metal crown and washer, three red gems, red lace and ribbon.

The DILLY BEAN FRIDAY CHALLENGE this week is to create something with the colors PINK AND RED.

Tell Tale Heart ATC

I had fun making this ATC. I used the Raven and Tell Tale Heart digital collages from The Octopode Factory Edgar Allan Poe set. I love their quirky stamps.

I distressed my background paper with ink and added a piece of lace. The heart is attached with foam to make it stand up (hard to tell with the scan). The ATC is also embellished with glitter and a metal cog (eye).

Treasure Map Card

I used the "Treasure Map" digital stamp from Delicious Doodles to make this card. I printed the image out on designed paper and then colored with pencils and blended with mineral spirits. The card is embellished with three shells, a skeleton key, black eyelash yarn and a skeleton leaf.

Winter White Card

I created this card with a rubber stamp called Quasimoto from Stampotique. They have the greatest collection of rubber stamps. Check out the store. The "love" stamp is from PSX. I attempted to follow the sketch from Little Miss Muffet, lol! I don't usually do sketch challenges but this one seemed pretty easy and I love a chance to win Little Miss Muffet digital stamps. The card is embellished with ink, glitter and a crocheted flower.

I created a card with the Dilly Bean digital stamp called Heart Monster 2. I love this stamp and have used it for numerous occasions. I colored the image with colored pencils and blended with mineral spirits. I added a felt heart to his sweater and the word "love". The card is also embellished with sinamay ribbon, charms, ribbons and one of my favorites "googly eyes".

I decided to do another ATC for the last day of the Bloody Valentine Blog Hop. I used a digital stamp called Sewn Heart. It is from the Smeared Ink set called Inner Workings. It's a great set of steampunk type hearts. Check it out!

I painted a toothpick silver to look like a needle and wrapped some red yarn around the heart to look like it really had been pierced. The Edgar Allan Poe is from a collage sheet. The ATC is embellished with silver paint, red nail polish, a silver gear and lace.

For Day Two of the Bloody Valentine Hop, I created an ATC. I used the Quoth the Raven Rubber Stamps from Smeared Ink for my images. Edgar is stamped on a dryer sheet and the heart is stamped on Crayola Magic. This was the first time I used this type of clay for stamping and the image was good but I lost a lot of details when I painted the heart black. It did not wipe off and "antique" the way clay would have. The blood is red nail polish.

Love Gives Me Wings - DB (DT)

The challenge this week at Dilly Bean Friday Challenge is to create something with the theme LOVE GIVES ME WINGS.

For my DT piece this week, I decided to use #265 Framed Zombie Cupid. All the Dilly Bean stamps are so much fun to color it is always hard to narrow down the choices. Check out the Dilly Bean Store for some wonderful stamp designs.

I colored the image with colored pencils and blended with mineral spirits. My photo doesn't show it but the heart in her hand is cut out and mounted on a foam dot for some dimension. I also used glossy accents on her eyes and the skellie and of course there is a little glitter on her wings. I added the words "you make my heart flutter" in Photoshop.
