Travel in Time Altered Clothespins

I was happy to be invited to create a sample project for The Artistic Stamper for the month of October. The challenge topic this month is "TRAVEL". I like to imagine that these steampunk creatures would make perfect time travelers. The designs were stamped with black ink onto the smooth side of watercolor paper. I used metallic watercolor paints to paint the images and then fussy cut around them when they were dry. They were then attached to painted spring style clothespins. A yarn scrap and steampunk gears were added as embellishments. The clothespins are clipped to a piece of watercolor paper that was painted with a gelli plate. The edges of the word Journey were distressed with watercolor crayons.
