Trim the Tree Ornament - DB (DT)

The DILLY BEAN FRIDAY CHALLENGE 

 this week is CHRISTMAS - TRADITIONAL COLORS! 

The Dilly Bean Challenges now require that you use a Dilly Bean Image on your submission.

I used Dilly Bean stamp #509 Amalia's Christmas Lights for this ornament. I colored the image with PSE and markers. I painted the paper mache ornament red before layering on my pieces. The ornament is embellished with snowflake sequins, a circle and tag diecut, three red rhinestones (berries), baker's twine and glitter. I used glossy accents on the colored lights. It's not a good idea to apply glossy accents and then place your piece in front of fan to dry faster. My glossy accents dried faster but looks pretty wonky.

Warm Holiday Wishes

I used a vintage frame and snow angel from Graphics Fairy to create this digital card. The pink snowflake paper and glitter snow flakes are from Sweetly Scrapped. I assembled the card in PSE and then did further editing in Pizap.

Smeared & Smudged 12 Days of Creepmas - Day SIX

Day SIX of S&S 12 Days of Creepmas!

I used a digital stamp from Delicious Doodles called Skully Santa for this Creepmas project. The design was colored with pencils and markers. The project is embellished with glitter, a die cut snowflake, icicles and circle, a snowflake button (shank removed), google eyes and a pompom. 

I don't think any Mommies will want to be kissing this Santa Claws underneath the mistletoe!

If anyone watches GRIMM, Friday nights episode is about a Krampus.

Altered Puzzle Piece - DominoArt Day 11

I used a Stampotique stamp called Gobby Lin for this ornament. I covered the puzzle piece with a bit of scrap paper and then used water color crayons to add some red and green. I distressed the edges with a Tim Holtz tool. The design was stamped with permanent ink and colored with markers. The ornament is embellished with glitter, three rhinestones, a glittery mushroom, baker's twine and a deer charm.

I used a digital stamp called "Sami" from A Day for Daisies to create this card. I colored the image with colored pencils and markers. The body of the stocking is paper pieced. I added the "faux" stitching. The card is embellished with glitter, a pink bow and pom-pom, and a snowflake button (shank removed).

Day Five of S&S 12 Days of Creepmas!

I used a digital stamp called Creepmas Bones by Rick St. Dennis for this banner. The banner is created from a page torn from a damaged book. I randomly painted on some gesso and then did some stenciling with yellow paint. A recycled paint sample is the design paper. The banner is embellished with glitter, a skeleton's arm, spider web and a bow.

This is not a Frosty I would like to run into on a cold winter's night. I colored the image with colored pencils, markers and chalk. The banner is a page torn from a damaged book. Altered Memory Game Card & Poker Chip Ornament - DominoArt Day 6

 DominoArt 12 Days of Christmas Festival - Day Six

Supply List:
Memory Game Card

To create this fun ornament, I covered the memory game card with a scrap of design paper. I stamped the design twice on design paper. One head and bodice piece I glued to the the game card. The second piece,  I used foam dots to pop it up. I glued the arms and legs to a heavier piece of cardstock before cutting them out. I used my smallest hole punch and my smallest brads to make the parts moveable. I paper punched out the girls face and glued it to the center of a poker chip. I then used Glossy Accents on the arms, legs and her pretty face. I made a halo of rhinestones around her face and added some gold paint to her wings and the star. A small scrap of lace is glued to her waist.

Glass Tile Pendant - Rubber Stamped Designs

 

 

 

 
 

These rubber stamped pendants were made from altered glass tiles from the home improvement store. The tiles are embellished with a scrap of fabric that has been painted and then rubber stamped. The tile measures 1 7/8 x 1/2 inches. A metal hardware nut is attached as a bail. I used glossy accents as my glue. First attaching the nut and letting the glue dry overnight. The next day I added more glossy accents around the base of the nut to reinforce the hold.

It was so much fun to alter these inexpensive glass tiles from the home improvement store. You can use the same technique to alter dominoes. Think of the possibilities!

Elfin Ornament

Pendants - Enameled Glass Tiles from the Home Improvement Store

Enameled Pendants

 

These colorful abstract pendants are made from altered glass tiles from the home improvement store. The tiles are painted and marbled with nail polish enamels. The tile measures 1 7/8 x 1/2 inches. A  silver colored metal nut is attached as a bail. I used glossy accents as my glue. First attaching the nut and letting the glue dry overnight. The next day I added more glossy accents around the base of the nut to reinforce the hold.

These were so much fun to make. Use the nail polish you have or buy some funky colors.

I used a digital stamp called Emo Hello World from Just Some Lines for this Thanksgiving Card. The image was colored with pencils and blended with mineral spirits. The turkey ephemera is from the Graphics Fairy. The card is layered with three design papers, and is embellished with lace flowers, a paper flower and glitter on the turkey's wings (hard to see in photo) and red glitter on the flower center.

Textured Glass Tile Pendants

Textured Pendants!

 

These pendants were made from altered glass tiles from the home improvement store. The tiles were embellished with a raised textured pattern. I created the texture with hot glue and rubber stamps. The pendants are painted with acrylic paints. The tile measures 1 7/8 x 1/2 inches. A  silver colored metal nut is attached as a bail. I used glossy accents as my glue. First attaching the nut and letting the glue dry overnight. The next day I added more glossy accents around the base of the nut to reinforce the hold.

These glass tile pendants are a lot of fun to alter and play with. You could use the same technique with a domino.
