Steampunk Octopus Jar

I used a rubber stamp from Inkadinkado to create this altered glass jar. I stamped the design onto a page torn from a damaged book that I had painted with gesso and yellow acrylic paint first. I used mod podge to attach the paper punched circle to the jar. Steampunk gears and cogs were added as embellishments.

Fairy Queen Pendant

Celebrate Bottle Tag - Gecko Galz (DT)

Little Miss Firecracker #1 - girl image

Rubber Stamps - frame (Creative Ink), sentiment (The Paper Company)

Directions:

Cut a strip of paper 7x3 inches. Fold down the top 2 inches. Use paper punch to place a hole in the center of the top of the tag. Arrange your paper elements in a pleasing manner and attach to the tag. The star is paper punched. The tag is embellished with two star buttons that I covered with glitter. I also added glitter to the stars in the design.

A Gift For Dad!

This is an altered 4x4 bisque tile. The background paper was embossed with a steampunk folder from Darice. It was attached to the tile and painted black and then sponged with silver metallic paint to highlight the embossing. Altered Notebook - Gecko Galz (DT)

This month Gecko Galz teamed up with Optic Illusions. This is my cross promotional piece.

Directions:

This altered notebook is 5x7. I created the collage in PSE, sized it and printed it out. If you do not do digital work, you could cut a piece of paper the size of your notebook and then add images to create a pleasing design. The sentiment is a rubber stamp from Hero Arts. I didn't want to make the cover lumpy so I added some embellishments to a ribbon book mark. They include a watch face, a watch charm and a green bead.

Rose Water Label - Gecko Galz (DT)

Optic Illusions - background paper

Directions:

The base of the label was made in PSE. The rose tag was merged with the green clock face paper from Optic Illusions. Once that was resized and cut out, the beautiful woman and the "rose water" label were added. The label is embellished with a paper rose, two pink pearls and bit of lace. This concept could be used for empty jars and bottles.

Tag

I used a two rubber stamps on this tag. The cute little girl is from Stampotique and the sentiment is from My Sentiments Exactly. Grace is colored with pencils, makers and ink. The tag is a page from a damaged book. Gesso was applied and then polka dots were stenciled on. The tag is embellished with a diecut flower, glitter, fun yarn and a diecut pink felt button. My camera distorted the color of the felt button, it matched the color of the pink paint.
