FRIDA magnet - altered game piece

I used a rubber stamp from Stampotique to create this magnet. The base is a game card from a Memory Game I picked up at a garage sale. The card was covered with design paper and then watercolor pencils and oil pastels were used to add the orange distressing. A coat of varnish set the colors. The crown was made from mod melts. The project is embellished with three pink pearls, washi tape and alphabet beads.

Love for Mom Tag

I used an image from Lunagirl Moonbeams for this tag. This lovely woman and child are from the Mary Cassatt #2 Digital Download sheet. The word "love" is rubber from Inkadinkado and the scalloped topper is rubber from Creative Ink. The tag and flower were cut with the Cricut and the heart is paper punched. The tag is embellished with three pearls and multi-colored ribbon.

Magnet for Mom - Altered Memory Game Piece

I altered a memory game piece for this magnet. I covered both sides of the card with design paper. The pretty woman is a digital download from Artchix and the butterly is from Dover. After gluing down my design, I ran around the edges with an oil pastel crayon and smudged. The piece is varnished to protect the surface. The magnet is embellished with three red gems.

Time to Swim - Altered Poker Chip Brooch

This altered poker chip brooch was made from a poker chip I picked up at the thrift store. I used mod podge to attach a paper punched circle from a damaged book into the inverted center of the chip. I then sponged on two coats of gesso to prepare a base. I further altered the color with acrylic paint and oil pastels. The vintage/retro woman in her swim cap is from the Summer Jewels Gecko Galz collage sheet. Varnish was applied as a sealant. The word swim and two red seed beads were added to the design. A 1" pin back was attached with glossy accents.

Marilyn Monroe Kitsch Style - Ceramic Tile Pendant Necklace

I used a pop art photo of Marilyn Monroe from Gecko Galz to create this pendant. The design is from the Kitsch Jewel-it domino collection. The design is decoupaged onto a 1 7/8 x 7/8" ceramic tile from the home improvement store. The pendant is embellished with two bronze metal studs. The backside has coordinating scrapbook paper.

Directions:

Print out background paper but do not attach to base until you have added the banner. The twine will wrap around the edges and be taped down before you attach this piece to the card base. Print the sentiment on cardstock and ink around edges. I used paper punches to punch out three star shapes. The banner shapes were made with a punch. I then attached images from the Jewel-it collection to the banner flags. I used two strands of twine to tie on the banner. The card is further embellished with three star shaped rhinestones, washi tape and glitter.

Flower Fairy Tag

I used a digital download collage image from Gecko Galz for this fat tag (4x4). This lovely flower fairy is on the Flower Girls 2 Sheet. The sentiment is a rubber stamp from Uptown Rubber and the flower is a clear stamp from Inkadinkado. The tag is embellished with a flower cut from a piece of trim, gingham ribbon, five purple gemstones and glitter.

Musical Muse Poker Chip Pendant Necklace

This altered poker chip was fun to create. Use a punch or cut a circle to place in the indented portion of the chip. Then have fun using alcohol inks, acrylic paints, watercolor crayons...whatever you have on hand to give it some color. This chip has a design from Gecko Galz (Musical Jewel-it) decoupaged to it. Add a coat of sealant (varnish) and embellish. This pendant is embellished with lace trim flowers that I dabbed with the alcohol ink. The bail is a photo turner from the scrapbook department attached with glossy accents (works as a wonderful glue). Have fun!

Easter Wishes CAS Card

Happy Birthday Card

I used a digital stamp from the Sweet Pea Store for this card. The image is called "Pirate Captain Mermaid" by Elaine Cox. She was so much fun to color. The card is embellished with a die cut star, mini blue brad and glitter. The sentiment is a rubber stamp from Embossing Arts.
